What Glancelot receives
When you send or forward something to your Glancelot email address, we may receive:
- The email address associated with your Glancelot account
- The sender, subject, and other basic email metadata
- The text or HTML content of the message
- Images or attachments when supported
- Technical information needed to process and deliver the content
You control what you send to Glancelot. Please avoid forwarding highly sensitive information unless you are comfortable having it processed by the service.
How your content is used
Your content is used to provide Glancelot features, including:
- Receiving and storing the content you send
- Converting emails into a format suitable for your glasses or other devices
- Cleaning or simplifying HTML and other formatting
- Creating summaries or extracting useful information when those features are enabled
- Delivering your content back to you
- Troubleshooting failed processing or delivery
Your private content is not sold to advertisers or used for advertising.
AI processing
Some Glancelot features may use artificial intelligence to summarize, extract, restructure, or interpret content.
When an AI-powered feature is used, the portion of your content required for that feature may be sent to an AI service provider for processing.
Glancelot will limit the information sent to those services to what is reasonably necessary to perform the requested function.
Storage and security
Glancelot stores account and content data using cloud infrastructure.
We use reasonable technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections, access controls, and encryption provided by our cloud infrastructure for stored data.
No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security, but Glancelot is designed so that one user's private content is not accessible to other users.
Temporary email storage
Original incoming emails and related processing data may be temporarily stored while Glancelot processes your content.
Raw incoming email stored in our ingestion system is automatically scheduled for deletion within 7 days. Content may be deleted sooner when you delete the associated item or account.
Usage information
We may collect limited usage information to understand whether Glancelot is working properly and which features are useful.
For example, we may record events such as:
- Account registration
- Whether a message was successfully received
- Whether processing succeeded or failed
- Whether a document was opened
- General feature usage
- Processing and delivery performance
We do not need to include the contents of your messages in normal product usage analytics.
Deleting your information
You can delete content stored in your Glancelot account.
Deleting an item removes the user-facing copy. Glancelot also attempts to remove associated temporary or raw content as part of that deletion rather than waiting for the 7-day lifecycle.
Where account deletion is supported, you may also request deletion of your Glancelot account and associated stored content.
Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or operational systems before being automatically removed.
Email addresses
Your personal Glancelot ingestion address is intended for sending content into your own account.
If you regenerate that address, the previous address may stop accepting new content.
Beta service
Glancelot is currently a beta service.
Features, storage practices, and integrations may change as the product develops. If we make a material change to how private content is handled, we will update this statement and provide notice where appropriate.
Your choice
Using Glancelot means allowing us to process the content you intentionally send to the service so that we can provide the requested features.
If you do not want a particular message processed or stored by Glancelot, do not send or forward that message to your Glancelot address.
You can stop using Glancelot at any time.
